I'm no artist...
The head is coming along, the paper mache clay has given the ability to give detail but I still needed to smooth it down using the Dremel which causes a lot of dust (needed to do this outside otherwise the house would have been covered. It took a while to sand it all down as the clay was tough, as I was hoping it would be. After I was satisfied with the smoothing I then had to start thinking of painting... I don't paint and from the beginning of this project I thought this would be the most challenging part for me. I picked up some acrylic paints cheap from Amazon, Asda, the range and another store I don't remember. Various colours and some paint brushes as well. Firstly I put a base coat on as that's what people recommend to do. Once this was dry I started experimenting with colours to see what works and doesn't work. Safe to say I spent a long time painting but I am happy with the results. Tools: Dremel, sander, safety goggles, ear defenders, gloves, acrylic paints, ...
